Roasted Pears with Blue Cheese, Walnuts, and Honey

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm pears
  • 80 g blue cheese (such as Roquefort or Bleu d'Auvergne)
  • 30 g chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • A few sprigs of fresh rosemary (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Slice the pears in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the cores with a small spoon.
  3. Place the pear halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Fill each hollow with pieces of blue cheese.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the pears.
  6. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  7. Once out of the oven, drizzle with honey and add a touch of freshly ground black pepper.
  8. Garnish with rosemary sprigs if desired and serve warm.
