The grocery store clerk reflects the company's positive image by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that products are always fresh and of high quality. He or she works collaboratively with team members under the supervision of the department manager. He or she complies with food hygiene and safety standards, as well as health and safety regulations. 

RESPONSABILITIES

• Comply with the store's dress code and personal hygiene standards;
• Comply with safety standards and wear personal protective equipment when necessary;
• Comply with food safety procedures in accordance with department requirements;
• Advise and answer customer questions about food and prices;
• Provide quality customer service;
• Ensure that each product is priced correctly;                        
• Supervise merchandise exchanges and returns;
• Ensure loss prevention;                        
• Place, restock, and rotate merchandise according to expiration dates;
• Receive merchandise, label it, and unpack it;     
• Arrange merchandise on shelves and displays in a clean and orderly manner;
• Arrange products according to planograms;                        
• Remove expired or damaged products from shelves;                        
• Check promotional items;
• Assist management in tracking product inventory.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

• Ability to express oneself in French
• Work experience in a supermarket is an asset
• Good knowledge of the products sold                   
• Ability to lift heavy loads
